On busy summer weekends, the small beach can feel crowded fast — a few boats and a dozen swimmers and it's already full.

Late afternoon and sunset are the prime windows. Morning is fine but the sun's behind you (less visual appeal). Sunset Ski Beach is the South Shore's underrated romantic move — anchor here on a 2-hour evening rental and watch the sun go down behind the western mountains.

You don't really "boat to" Ski Beach — you launch from here. It's a marina-attached beach, not a cruising destination. The water immediately offshore is shared with the marina traffic, so it's busy and noisy compared to the boat-in beaches.

Heavy boat traffic in the launch area. Strict no-glass rules. Sunscreen run-off is monitored more carefully here due to the high-traffic. If you want a quiet beach day, Ski Beach is not it; if you want maximum action concentration, it's the spot.
